Who Won the Vice-Presidential Debate?

“Who do you think won Thursday night’s Vice-Presidential Debate?” was the subject of a recent contest conducted by the Copper Hills High School Rio Tinto Library. Students had to respond, in 35 words or less, stating who won and why.

Austin Van Amen, a senior at CHHS, was declared winner for his entry which supported Paul Ryan, Republican Vice-Presidential candidate. Austin stated that Ryan was his choice because Ryan was respectful, knew his facts, had good ideas on Iran [regarding their nuclear buildup], and “wants to lower taxes for everyone.”

Austin’s prize was a gift certificate to Barnes and Noble.  Congratulations!
